No worries, Bumblebee is well

I recently reported on the accident in D.C. involving the Bumblebee Camaro and a Police SUV. Thankfully, the police officer and the Camaro driver involved in the accident are both very well. Apparently, Bumblebee is all patched up also. I don't know which Transformer is their medic, but he acted quickly, as Bumblebee was photographed the night after the accident hanging out with Optimus Prime in the downtown D.C. area. Bumblebee showed zero sign of ever having been involved in an accident, also, which we can assume means that either: A) they paid good money to have the mechanics take care of that very quickly, or B) There's more than one Bumblebee. Either way, the accident doesn't seem to have slowed down anything but D.C. traffic.

Bumblebee Camaro Crashes In to Real Police SUV

On the set of Transformers 3 filming, which is currently in Washington D.C., they've had an unscripted accident. I know that unscripted accident is redundant, but, with as many explosions and car crashes as there are on the set of a Michael Bay movie, I felt like I had to reiterate that aspect of this. The Bumblebee Camaro, the beautiful 5th gen Camaro that has acted as a major star in each Transformers film to date, found itself looking down a non-Autobot enemy during the filming of a car chase scene. A Police SUV going to investigate a suspicious, possibly explosive package, in the vicinity of the District, went through the Transformers 3 filming location to get to his location faster. He was using a different radio channel than the officers on set for Transformers 3, and therefore was unable to alert anybody of his presence on set. Of course, this ended in the worst way possible.

Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt, and another investigative Police vehicle made it to the scene of the suspicious package quickly. The officer driving the SUV involved in the accident, a 25-year veteran of the D.C. Police force, went to the hospital with minor injuries. It seems, after watching the video, that the person/thing to incur the most damage was Bumblebee himself, and while this is sad, I'd much rather see a Camaro harmed than a human (it's almost blasphemous to say, I know!).

Well, thankfully, since we know nobody was seriously injured in the accident, and the officer involved the arrest will most likely be sufficiently compensated by Bay and the production company, we can watch the video without feeling bad! I wonder if this wont somehow show up in the Theatrical edit of TF3?

Corvette Museum To Become A Little More Inclusive: Camaro Exhibit On The Way

The National Corvette Museum, which is exactly what it sounds like, may have to change its name. The museum has always been a highlight for 'Vette lovers around the country, and now it's carving out a little niche for us Camaro-heads. Beginning in October, the NCM will have a new Camaro exhibit, which will be highlighted by 12 of the most famous and beautiful Camaros on the planet, from various different owners. The list includes, but is not limited to:

The 2009 Bumblebee Camaro from Transformers

Papa John's 1972 Delivery Camaro

Kenny Perry's 1969 Camaro, with 505HP Z06 LS7

2010 Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Custom Camaro

A 1987 1LE Prototype

1989 1LE Original Production Camaro

The 2010 Indy 500 Camaro Pace Car

Other undoubtedly famous and beautiful Camaro iterations.

If you've never been to the NCM, you're missing out, as it's a great way to spend a day checking out some of America's greatest vehicles ever made. With the new Camaro exhibit, it can only get better, so October is as good a time as any to head out to Bowling Green and check it out.

If you want to have a really great time, you could head out there on October 23rd for the Camaro-Firebird Classic. The event, which will cost $50, includes museum access, autocross races, drag races, a car show, a poker run, and a BBQ Lunch. All of those things should combine to make it a fantastic event.

Images of some of the Camaros that will be there are located below:

More Transformers 3 Video

Michael Bay has continued filming the explosion-laden (and, presumably, plot deprived) next installment in his Transformers franchise in Chicago, and what this means is that a lot more video footage has been shot by amateur cinematographers of the events. There are some great looks at the Bumblebee Camaro in action, as well as the other Autobots (which include a beautiful Ferrari, and a wild looking Stingray Convertible Corvette prototype). Sadly, Rose Huntington-Whiteley is not to be seen in any of the clips :( . While I do like to make fun of Michael Bay for making terribly thin and one-dimensional films, I am also intrigued by hot cars and beautiful women, so he has figured out a winning formula. Any chance to see a great looking Camaro or Super-Model (or Super-Model with Camaro) is a chance I will take.

Transformers 3: Bumblebee Camaro

A lot of images and videos have been leaking from the Michael Bay filming of Transformers 3, but these here of the Camaro are some of the cooler ones. Great pictures and videos of the new Camaro, which supposedly shares a lot of traits with the new Z28. Worth a look, to see the Camaro, even though after the second Transformers film, there's not much about this movie that excites me. Here are some cool videos, check them out and I hope you enjoy!
