Factory Hurst Shifter: Now Available!
GM has been delaying and keeping this unavailable for so long that it almost seemed like it would never come, but lo and behold, the day has arrived. Dealerships around the country are now getting in factory mounted Hurst Short-Throw shifters for their Camaros. This stock shifter, while more expensive than an aftermarket Hurst shifter, is fantastic looking and only available through dealers. Unlike the plastic 8-Ball style shift knob that comes with the Hurst short-throw shifter, the stock one is wrapped in OEM quality black leather and embroidered, tastefully, with the Hurst logo on the side. All of these things together make this a fantastic looking interior touch I'd love to have. Definitely worth a look.
More Transformers 3 Video
Michael Bay has continued filming the explosion-laden (and, presumably, plot deprived) next installment in his Transformers franchise in Chicago, and what this means is that a lot more video footage has been shot by amateur cinematographers of the events. There are some great looks at the Bumblebee Camaro in action, as well as the other Autobots (which include a beautiful Ferrari, and a wild looking Stingray Convertible Corvette prototype). Sadly, Rose Huntington-Whiteley is not to be seen in any of the clips 
. While I do like to make fun of Michael Bay for making terribly thin and one-dimensional films, I am also intrigued by hot cars and beautiful women, so he has figured out a winning formula. Any chance to see a great looking Camaro or Super-Model (or Super-Model with Camaro) is a chance I will take.
Lots of Camaro Convertibles Spied on Trucks!
Ok, so, someone out there saw all of these various images of a Camaro convertible being spied here or there and thought to themselves, "This isn't enough. We need to take the Camaro Convertible spy photo to the next level, and try and get, I don't know, 7 of them at once". Well, the person who thought this then went out and did exactly this, and now we have this set of pictures of two vehicle hauling trucks leaving the Camaro plant, loaded down with convertibles. There are multiple different color combination's here, too, including some Tan top Camaros to check out. My favorite of the bunch is the Silver with Black Top, but that's all personal preference. Check the pictures out and tell me what you think.

New Camaro Taillights?
Someone recently grabbed some (very shaky) spy footage of a 2012 Camaro Convertible driving around the Oshawa Plant with some very different tail lights on it. The tail lights, which are sunglass style, are the same as were seen on the original Camaro Clay Concept Model. Is this a future Camaro facelift change, or maybe a future Camaro option, or is this something solely for the convertible? There's no telling, honestly. All we can do is speculate, look at the tail lights, and try and figure out if we think they look good. So, sound off, what do you think of these different Camaro tail lights?
Anderson Silva’s Custom Camaro
Anderson Silva, the current UFC Middleweight Champion and UFC's longest continual reigning Champion, is a bad-ass. There is no arguing this. This man knocks out people bigger and scarier than him, and makes it look easy. So, what type of car does a man this hardcore drive? Obviously, the only car with enough personality, attitude, savvy, and cool to match him: a Camaro. His Camaro is not just any Camaro, either. Anderson Silva had just ordered a fully customized Camaro from West Coast Customs, that is an absolute beauty.
Made up in Black and Yellow, the number of visual modifications performed on this car are a long list alone. There's no official list of the modifications installed on the vehicle, but they begin with a custom paint job, custom rims, stitching, brake duct intake cut-outs and screens on a custom front fascia, and an aggressive and gorgeous looking ground effects body kit. All of this is topped off with Anderson Silva's trademark Silva Bee logo on the front grille and engraved in the headrests.
West Coast customs has built a name for themselves worldwide as one of the premiere mod shops, and this Camaro is no exception to that at all. By ordering this gorgeous Camaro, Silva joins a list of other notable famous bad-asses who drive the Camaro. We can only assume that Silva, Sylvester Stallone, Randy Couture, and Ric Flair drive their Camaros to match their macho-man characters. Its amazing then, to realize, that the Camaro has the machissimo to fit these drivers, as well as the sophisticated cool, class, sex-appeal, and refinement to work for so many others. The list of celebrities driving Camaros seemingly grows every day, and this Silva custom Camaro is one of the coolest ones to make that list.

Camaro Ground Effects Install Instructions
The following Ground Effects (GFX) Install Instructions just hit the web, and they're extremely handy to have. If your Camaro came with the GFX installed and you need to remove a part of it for some reason, having these instructions will really help with the surprisingly complex process. If you're also looking to install part of the Chevy GFX Kit on to your Camaro that is currently without it, then obviously these instructions can be a major help to you as well. Some people have also reported that their GFX packages were installed improperly by Chevy in the first place, so having these instructions are a great way to check on that yourself, since some mechanics simply can't be trusted. Regardless of the reason, ultimately, these are a handy tool to have access to. So, here you are!
Ultimate Factories Camaro Episode
If you get the National Geographic channel, you may have seen this already. If you don't get it, or don't watch it, this is definitely worth a watch. Their show "Ultimate Factories", which highlights advanced and impressive factories around the world, recently did an episode on the Chevy factory where the Camaro is produced. It's incredibly informational, and a great and interesting watch, to see how the Camaro is built. I actually learned a lot about my Camaro by watching this, and enjoyed it the entire way. It's a long watch, but totally worth it. Enjoy!
Buy a Camaro and get dinner with Pete Rose!
One of my favorite sports bloggers ('Duk over at Yahoo Sports) recently an article concerning this. I thought it was too hilarious to pass up.
A Chevrolet dealer out of Kentucky is running a special where all new Chevy purchasers will be able to have dinner with the Hit King, Mr. Pete Rose himself. When I first read about this, and watched the hilariously cheesey commercial accompanying it, I could not help but laugh. I feel pretty bad for old Chuck Hustle these days, kind of, but this highlights where he has found himself. Hey, at least he's not alone (by any stretch of the imagination). I wonder if his girlfriend will be in attendance at the dinner as well? Either way, it's humorous for me to think of going to get dinner with Pete Rose and hearing his crazy stories. I'm sure, probably in large part because of the things he has been through in his life time, he would have a lot of interesting things to say. I'm also fairly sure he would come off a little crazy saying them.

GM Posts Some Very Real Earnings: Rejoice!
Well, this is good news for both Camaro owners/lovers and also for people who generally like the American economy. It looks like GM's restructuring has started to actually work pretty well, as they've now posted three straight quarters of profits, a run which is highlighted by their current Q2 $1.3 Billion profits. GM posted $33.2 Billion revenue with $1.3 Billion profit, thanks in large part to the fantastic sales of some of its more marquee models. Chief amongst those models was the Camaro, which has paved the way for the American muscle to return front and center since its release a little more than a year ago.
These numbers also bode well for Camaro lovers as they mean that for the foreseeable future GM will have the capital to produce newer and better versions of their vehicles and provide the Gen 5 Camaro fantastic new features and facelifts every year. It also means that a Gen6 Camaro is pretty much a lock, which is a great thing. So, this is good news, and bodes well for the current economic recovery. With Ford doing reasonably well and GM looking like their old selves again (dear god, I meant that in the best way possible) it seems as though the automotive industry has rebounded well. Now, if only my house value would go back up...
Convertible Re-Affirmed for March 2011
The projected release date of the 2012 Camaro Convertible had originally been set at March of 2011, but recently that date changed. Following some issues concerning plant turn-over in preparation for the vehicle, GM had officially pushed their projected market release date back to the second Quarter of 2011. That move seems now to have just been a careful action, made by GM to keep their PR positive, as the due date has been reaffirmed now to be March of 2011. Whatever issues had been holding up the Camaro Convertible seem to be solved now. With the Camaro Convertible set for release, we can expect to see Camaro sales numbers continue to climb and outshine its Mustang and Challenger competitors. This is great news for GM, who has also--intelligently--highlighted that their Camaro has over-all outsold the Mustang since its release with no more than one basic model with two builds, while the Mustang has had a popular convertible model and multiple different power builds. With the Camaro line-up growing to accommodate all levels of consumers (especially with the eventual release of the near supercar Camaro Z28) we can expect to see the vehicle sales and popularity continue to grow.
